If you love reading, then any library at all will make you sigh. This one will do that, and more: the Biblioteca Angelica, founded in 1604, is hidden away. Rome’s first public library is hardly known to tourists, which helps to make it even more special. When you walk into the enormous reading room, you can feel history all around you. It is impossible not to just stand and stare at so much beauty.
